I liked the movie a lot. Not just a bit. Your little - "it was pretty, cute, light... and so on blah-blah-blah"..
I consider it quite amazing, for it showed not justLOVE, what i thought it would show, but LIFEitself. And, what's so much more important- life of Paris.
I think such a movie should be shot about any and every single city in the world. We all have something to tell.
I also thought it DID have something parallel, some recognition of Odessa, or maybe, because unconciously i was trying to find something similar there, i found it. Anyhow...
I liked it. A lot. it's life-ly.
my fav parts where as following:
-about the muslim girl
-about the african guy, who died
-about the blind guy and Natalie Portman
-about the vampires with Eliajah Wood (though i despise him as an actor, the scene was nice and quite energizing as for me ))
-mime story
-the subway scene
-oh-oh... and the scene about the guy talking of the soulmates and writing his phone number, and the other one not comprehending him whatsoever... poor thing...
-the one about the chinese girl...pretty funny )
-about the american woman.. very moving.
__________
i'm not restraining my memory now, cause my brain stopped working several hours ago, trying to remembe something else. I'll tell you later, if so )
U just need to see it for yourself. Everyone will find something there ))
Good luck !

spoilers
+ something not as pleasant... yet:

And, by the way, I want to see that movie now.
why can't belive it ? do i make an impression of illiterate person ? *)
i was just too tired to set the laptop on "Rus", and what is more important - tired to write in russian the impressions, cause it takes me much more time, and my emotions would all just flow away in the midst of these hardly spoken words. u see, i print in russian too slow in comparison with english. oh well ))
Yup, the movie's great, u should definately see it. I'm gonna find it on CD or smth. ^_^
I even would say it's one of the ever greatest movies shot in 2006.
I've recently bought a dvd and now watch the movie almost every single day.) My fave episodes are the one about the muslim girl (actually not because it touched me much or whatever, but because I just adore that type of guys)), about the blind guy with Portman (because I love her and because it touched me so) and the one with Juliette Binoche.)
ya deistvitelno pechatau latinizej bistreee... che ti dumaesh ya eu seichas pishu.
len mne, len.
Liselotte with Juliet Binoche, yeah... the little boy's pretty smart... with the cowboy guy... and the muslim girl yeah...the guy's cute ))
Portman with the blind guy - it's even shot very well...
i wonder if we yet can buy it here, probably not, however... i hope it willl soon appear in the shops )
and how they shot :
-we laughed, we danced, we listened to each other's music, we swam, we loved... in the fastforward motion... so nice...
her movies are always like that... do you remember the one - wallmart girl, or smth like that... i don't remember what's the exact name ...
also very nice... with the other great actress with a bunch of kids...
i like that she saves throught her life all her childish looks, which gives her unbearable charm )) she's one of my favs, too.
i also love Milya Yovovich, Monika Bellucci, Jolie, Drew Berrimore...
But portman and yovovich - the most.
Also Drew and Kate Blanchette. And Dominique Swain (the one from "Lolita" by Adrian Lyne)
Dominique Swain - have no clue who's that. oh... if she's lolita, okay, i know.
but i haven't watched that movie. the book was enough. maybe i should...
is it worth seeing ?
oh,oh, and Meg Ryan. How could i forget her... She's wonderful in every single movie she was shot in )))
Tsunami K.Deyama Eto ya pro film vpechatleniya pisala )))
esli ochen kratko - to mne ochen ponravilos )))
u didn't ??? !!
u definately should !
-Kate and Leo
- U've got mail
-French kisses
- somth about the golden boy... (i don't remember the exact name)
-Sleepless in Seatle
-... remembering will write you down more...
i also shall ))
nono, I didn't mean that at all! It's just... Well, you don't see English posts in your Favorites very often, do you?)
Yeah, that was the one, i knew i definately forgot. Thx
it sorta remembers me of Sweet November...
palabra )) sometimes, u just try not to imagine anything what isn't there, and leave space in your heart for anything suddent to enter.
and miracles may come. (it's not about my english, of course )
*tolds aside*
